Photo of the day

Photo by Payje Bier Photography (www.p-b-photography.com)

About 90% of the drive to Silver City is boring and ugly.  10% is the most beautiful landscape I have seen yet in New Mexico.  The speed limit drops to 20 mph, and the road starts twist and curve like you can't imagine, and tucked away in the mountains is a forest full of dramatic cliffs, lodgepole pines, and, I'm pretty sure, magic.  It was so incredible to see this time of year because all of the leave on the trees are changing, and the sun shines through the pines right onto the leaves just so, and that is the magic I'm talking to you about!
