Everybody loves sloppy joes, and they are a super easy and creative meal option. These sloppy joes can be made mostly with what you already have in your kitchen, so if you (like me) always agonize over what to use your ground beef for that will make it seem like you haven't already had it 2 times this week, here you go!
What you need:
1 lb ground beef
1 (very small) chopped onion
3 cloves minced garlic
2 teaspoons cumin
2 teaspoons paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 cup water
hamburger buns or slider rolls
What you do:
Brown hamburger meat in a large skillet and drain.
Add onion, garlic, cumin, paprika and cayenne and cook one minute.
Add ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar and water and simmer for about 15 minutes until thickened.
Serve on hamburger buns (I like to toast them a little bit!)
It's that easy! No yucky cans of Manwich involved!
