You Want Cheap? I'll Give You Cheap.

Cheap and delicious that is!  I want to share a recipe with you guys that I made last night that TOTALLY ROCKED.  And it was a mega cheap dinner.  Picture tortillas and hotdogs... doesn't sound great or special right?  Well, what about CHIMICHANGA DOGS? (I don't have any pictures for you because my camera's in the shop).
And, you can even use this recipe for the Ballpark hotdogs you're going to buy this week with your coupon match ups to make it even cheaper!

Chimichanga Dogs

What you need:
Hot Dogs
Small flour tortillas
4 or 5 eggs (depending on how many chimi dogs you're making)
Flour for dredging
Vegetable, canola or peanut oil for frying
Shredded cheese (cheddar and monterey jack are the best)
Sour cream, guacamole, salsa, lettuce, etc. for toppings

What you do:
1. Pre-heat the oil to 350 degrees in your deep fryer (or if you don't have one in a sturdy pot) and pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees
2. Beat the eggs in a bowl
3. Lay out the flour so you can dredge the dogs
4. Roll a hotdog in a tortilla, cut off the really long ends
5. Dip in eggs
6. Roll in flour until coated
7. Repeat egg and flour process a second time
8. Carefully drop the dog into hot oil, fry until golden brown
9. Drain excess oil from the dog and transfer to a cookie sheet.  Cover with cheese and put in the oven until cheese is melted.
10. Repeat this process for the other dogs
11. Add toppings and enjoy!
